Loading the Catch (1840)
attributed to
William Joseph Shayer

Shayer (1811 - 1891) was an English painter (not to be confused with his father, William Shayer, also a painter, primarily of landscapes and animals) known primarily for his hunting scenes.

Is the black-and-white dog in this painting a Newf? Hard to say for sure, but it's certainly a possibility.
