Another Newfoundland painting by our man Sir Edwin Landseer (1802 - 1873), this work is yet another depiction of the black-and-white Newfoundland named Neptune, who is the subject of two other paintings by Landseer: Neptune (1824) and The Twa Dogs (1822).
