In the Stable
by
John Emms

Emms (1844 - 1912) was an English animal painter known primarily for his hunting pictures, particularly of horses and hunting dogs.

This undated painting shows what could well be a Landseer Newfoundland, one of which is definitely depicted in Emms' painting Dogs Watching Bathers, which is also featured here at The Cultured Newf.
